New Toys!

Look what Hubby found in the brooder house today!

Eight babies, about three weeks old. He brought them in the house!!! He says risking having them grow up feral is out of the question. That means 6 AM feedings for me.

Alatariel and I had a nice trip today. We always end up going to the same stores we go to in Tulsa, they're just arranged a little differently. We spent some time in Barnes & Noble where we picked out a couple of books on writing for Ala (my budding author). It was a nice, cool morning, we had a parking space in the shade, so we sat in the car, windows rolled down, and read for a while.

Next was a trip to Office Depot for some Five Star notebooks. Once upon a time, I started going though my stash of magazines, cutting out the things I wanted to keep, and taped them into a notebook. Then the rest of the magazine can go in the trash. My magazine stash is so great that it's time to start "magazine scrapbooking" again.

We had salads at Applebee's for lunch.

Next, a drive around Lake Hefner, then on to the quilt store. Oh, my, it was awesome! In cubbies between shelves of color-sorted bolts of fabrics were stacks of fat quarters. Ala went wild! She thought the little fat quarter bundles were so cute. That, plus the 1.5 yards of fabric, and we racked up a $55 bill. I didn't realize her hands could hold so much. Whew!

Funny, when I was a kid, those little bundles of fabric were remnants and sold for a quarter each! :D

After the fabric store, we delivered the car seat, and headed for home after a quick stop at the pet store to get milk replacement. While I wanted to get home in time to plant my dying flowers that are suffocating in the bathroom, I didn't make it.

Tomorrow morning Hub wants to rent the wood chipper and work on the limbs while I'm at the dollar store. I sure hope I close tomorrow 'cause I sure haven't checked the schedule.

I thought a brooder house was for chickens. lol Very cute kitties. He seems to be warming up to cats. You hang out in the same places I do, bookstores, fabric store, eating places. Driving around lakes. Sounds like you had a great day!

What a cute bunch of babies! I just love little ones.

Like you and Schnauzermom, I too hang out at bookstores, fabric stores, and drive around the lake, well fishing hole.

We could be the Three Musketeers or something.
