Spring Cleaning

I made Alatariel work on her room today. I tried to go in there last night, nearly twisted my ankle, stubbed my toe, and tumbled head-long into the bed as I tried to circumnavigate the obstacle course on her floor.

Well, not really, but almost.

Since I try, usually unsuccessfully, to lead by example, I worked on my room today, too. After I spent the morning not making much headway, I came to the conclusion that I have too many socks. I have one dresser drawer packed full of socks, and those are just the pairs I was able to match and roll this morning. I tossed a huge pile of worn out socks in the trash, and I still have a laundry basket full of unmatched orphans. That means that, scattered around this house, is a laundry basket full of sock mates. I must have SOCD (sock obsessive compulsive disorder).

I put away the collection of clothes that had collected on top of the dresser - the "it's bedtime, I'll put those away tomorrow" pile.

I cleaned out my dresser drawers, tossed handfuls of pure junk that got dropped in the drawers: receipts, clothing tags, old pencils, plastic bags.... Don't know how it got there, but now it's gone!

Ala wanted to get rid of the small stereo on her chest of drawers since she now has the big-dog sound system in her room. I took it to my room, and I now have music in the bedroom! I haven't tested the radio reception, yet, but I have hopes of also inviting in Rush, Laura, Clark, Sean....

I was looking at real estate last night, and found an excellent older home near Swazoo, very affordable, looks great, of course, it'll get snatched up since the price has been reduced. By the time we get ready to move to wherever we're moving, there will be nothing available.

We watched "Over Her Dead Body" last night. It was pretty funny. Oh, yeah, that's downtown Tulsa up there. Just because.

Spring cleaning, boo hiss. I need to do that maybe sometime before Spring is over. I've lived in Oklahoma almost 30 years and have never been to Tulsa. Someday.

I can top that - I've lived here 51 years and have never been to Lawton!
