Hubby ("I hate cats") named the kitty. Lucky has settled down somewhat. He and the rest of the herd are hissing at each other and having some races around the house, but for the most part they're getting along better than I anticipated.
I called about taking him to the lady who wants barn cats, and Ala had a fit. So, tomorrow we're going to attempt to trap some of our barn cats and take them to her. The rest are getting shot, and that doesn't mean vaccinated. Honey Nut's left ear is ripped from a fight with one of the feral cats. It's time to clean up outside so the "kids" can go out to play without getting torn up.
I asked the vet to do blood work on Bear. It turned up nothing significant. We can only conclude that it's viral and will run its course.
We made our New Year's Eve pilgrimage to Goodwill, followed by a trip to the package store, then the grocery store for junk food. We picked up pizza at Simple Simon's in Mounds (best place to get carry out pizza) for dinner. I had a Sprite with a splash of Bushmill's 10, then napped for an hour in the recliner. I'm such a cheap date.
I'm sneezing and my nose is stuffy again. Drat. I've only been over the last round for a week. Now it's starting over???

The hubby who hates cats, sounds like he's been converted. Lucky is a good name for that one.
