Aunt Jo has paid me a lovely compliment! I make her smile. She passed the award on to me despite the fact that I never finished the last "tag" game. I look forward to reading my cyber friends' blogs every day. You make me smile, too!
Several bloggers with whom I've become acquainted are friends of Aunt Jo. I tag along behind her and see what's going on. One person, however, I stumbled upon last week while searching for a skunk cake (don't ask) really made my day. Ruth Dynamite really made me chuckle with her blog post on "Straight Talk About Sects." I'm passing the award on to her.
On the home front:
No word from the second job. I suppose I'll have to place a call if I want to know what's going on. I would never have run my store this way. Gee whiz.
We rearranged the office last evening. Hubby likes me working in the same room with him (this is a disadvantage for me as I actually have to work and not net surf) but my constant complaining about having no elbow room finally got results. The workstation that is "mine" held up two desk top CPUs, a flatbed scanner, one large laser printer, monitor, and several little black boxes that do mysterious things so keep all the little bits and byes from becoming a jumbled, tangled mess. I had to try to work in between all that stuff!
I made a visit to Home Depot and purchases some fugly utility shelves (that wasn't a typo) for the office. The CPUs and flatbed scanner have now been relocated, and I have elbow room! Yay!!! I'm going to froo-froo up my little corner; this this morning there will be fresh-cut irises on my desk.
We don't have the new super computer hooked up. It's now my duty to copy everything from the old Dell onto my laptop. The new Dell will then replace the old one, and I'll get to move everything onto the new Dell from my laptop. That's fine. It keeps me from writing programs.
It's time to cut some irises.
