Ok, I'm just a tad bit late, but no less Thankful!
Today I'm thankful for Harrold Independent School District Superintendent David Thweatt. They man has wisdom beyond any other. How I hope that other school districts will follow his lead.

When I was in high school, years and years ago, all of the teachers either had a shotgun behind the door or a handgun in the desk. We kids didn't think anything about it.
I forgot all about Thankful Thursday, but I'm thankful on Friday!
Guns in the classroom? That's outrageous! Didn't the guns jump up and randomly start killing students? I'm amazed that you survived!
