Finally, I had time to mow the yard. I had to do it in two shifts. It was too tall to do it quickly, and too hot to do it all at once. I get so pooped from sun & heat that I came in and napped for a while. All the limbs and sticks are finally picked up. We have a couple of small piles to burn. We're getting close to being "normal" again.
I found this guy hopping around the house while I was mowing. La is a frog fiend, so I called her out to play with him a bit.The hay is finally in. They cut ours really late. Most folks had theirs in the first of last month. The neighbors made a deal with hubby to seed the front six with bermuda and they get the take for five years. I hope this is the last of the five. This is where I want to fence pasture for the hogs.
This has absolutely nothing to do with yard work, but I sure thought the baby gators were adorable and the onesie was too cute to pass up. Now I just need to get them in the mail before the granddaughter gets too big to wear them.
Work at 7 AM. I rather dislike the weekend shift. Six hours is a long shift in that store - there's so much to do and the crowd never lets up. I only work 4 hours on weeknights; despite the floor mopping chore, it's a much easier shift.

Wow it looks so quiet and peaceful out in the country. We have just a tiny yard and we pay the neighbor's grand daughter to mow it. We've ruined 2 lawnmowers by letting them sit out in all kinds of weather.
I love your wide open spaces. I miss living in the country.
Cute baby clothes;)
I purposely didn't include the list of houses and trailers that have popped up around us. Then there's the idiot on the corner who races his four-wheeler around.... it sounds like a jake-brake, hours and hours on end. Sometimes I think it would be more peaceful in town.
