Poor Chester Pester

Yesterday, Hubby found Chester curled up behind the desk looking mostly lifeless. Hub picked up the poor cat to find him with a raging fever and third eyelids extended. Hub gave him to me, announcing that "something's not right."

Emergency trip to the vet and $104 later, Chester is recovering from FUO (Fever of Unknown Origin), and is on meddies once again. Poor Chester. He's my lovey baby cat and he's been through a rough patch this summer.

After giving it a lot of thought, I have decided to go back to the vitamin store. After all, just the fact that the manager took a 30+ mile drive to find me to ask me to come back.... It's still more than the dollar store, I'll make commission on sales, and I won't have to mop a 2000 sqf store at night. That in itself is a bonus.

I met hubby for lunch in Tulsa after the failed doctor visit, but I had to wait for him while he finished up with the consulting company. My car, despite my desperate attempts to steer it otherwise, took me right to the front door of Quilt Sampler. Well, as long as I was there....

My mission was to find some light fabrics; most of my stash is dark colors. I came up with these:I had some navy hues in my stash that needed something to go with, so I picked up a navy floral to go with them (large print on right):I have some unbleached muslin to go with them.

OK, I have to stop now. This is getting serious!

We just booked a hotel room in Kansas City for Labor Day weekend. We're going to the KC Irish Fest and the Kansas City Feis. Fun!

Poor kitty, I hope he feels better soon.

The vitamin store does sound like a better job. Maybe the hours will be better too.

Gorgeous fabrics! I'm jealous.

I'm looking forward to the "new" job. The biggest downfall is the drive.

I'm happy with the last fabric purchase. I think I have the missing pieces so I can start putting things together.

Now to find a place to set up my machine since Alatariel has taken my sewing table!
