Book's in the Mail

In a few weeks, anyway. I signed my life away for eleventh grade homeschool materials, complete with DVD classroom instruction. Ala had her heart set on French this year, and Abeka has discontinued it! The sweet little man who runs the meetings didn't know why. Bah. Looks like we'll be joining the German American Society of Tulsa and learning to speak German, instead.

I worked the second job tonight. My drawer has come up short several times over the past couple of weeks. This disturbs me greatly. I've never had balancing issues before, but suddenly it seems I can't count. The other thing that bothers me is that I don't ever get to count my own drawer, so I can't help but wonder...

Sewing class in the morning. Ala is excited. She didn't get any practice sewing done this past week because a) I piled a bunch of fabric on top of the sewing table and she didn't know what to do with it, and b) she didn't know what to do with all the fabric I piled on top of the sewing table. She couldn't set up the machine, so no sewing.

I'm skipping the quilting lessons for now. I have a conference call tomorrow afternoon, so I won't be dinking around doing errands after class; I'll have to do it all during the morning. Besides, I want to go to OK Quiltworks on Saturday. Can't spend money on stash if I've spent it on a class!

Oh, ya, the lawn mower is fixed. $300. (gulp!)

Going to see the new grandbaby on Saturday rather than Sunday. Ala and I will leave early, shop in the morning, lunch at Olive Garden in OKC, and catch the new Narnia matinee. Anyone want to join us??? Then we'll visit #1Son & family late in the afternoon. He's even going to make dinner!

I tried learning French, German and Spanish, not all at the same time of course, none of it stuck with me. Sounds like a fun trip on Saturday. I've had to work the last 2 Saturdays all day and I'll have to work this one too, sigh.

Shoot! I wish I'd seen you were going to OKC sooner. I would have tried to go instead of painting kitchen cabinets.

We'll go again soon, probably about a month when I can replenish my Mad Money fund. We got a late start today, the movie was long (but good!) and visiting the kids took longer than expected. I forgot my swatches, so I'll HAVE to go fabric shopping again!
