Today I am thankful for friends who make me smile, family who put up with me, and cats who crawl all over me leaving a trail of fur.
I'm thankful for the 4" of rain that soaked the ground so that today's gusting winds don't create a huge fire danger (I hope).
I thought of something last night that I was going to be thankful for today, but now I can't remember what it was. sigh.

I'm glad your rain soaked in. We've got a little bit standing.
OK, well, it didn't exactly soak in, since there's no where that isn't already soaked. It just collected on top of the puddles that were still standing around from last week. My front yard is a wading pool. No fire danger there! ;)
