Sunny Saturday

Ok, slightly overcast Saturday....

Today I'm making a trip to my much-neglected craft booth. I have a few things, not many, to take in. My step-sister-in-law (SSIL?) has a booth at the same place and sells classic VHS movies. She makes a killing! I'm thinking I might try some of the same.

Afterwards, I'm going to The Quilt Sampler to browse their fabrics. They have a clearance corner with quilting fabrics marked half-off. Yay! I still have a couple of things to pick up for the class next week, also.

If I'm still motivated to move on, I'll then cruise down the turnpike to Muskogee and visit Scentury Candle. I'm low on wax (ha! I've gone through a box of wax and still don't have a workable candle!) and I need wick advice. I also want to sniff the fragrance oils. I hate ordering fo's online and get a bunch of stuff that stinks.

Then it'll be home to clean house. Hubby commented last night that the place needs some sprucing up if we're going to sell. I asked him later what was the plan. First we're moving West, then we're moving out of state, then we aren't moving at all. He said he wished he knew what was going to happen. He just knows that something has to give. Who knows what it'll be?

Hubby and I had a date night last night - dinner at Rib Crib and then a romantic evening shopping at Wal Mart. For a Friday night, it wasn't too bad. The employees were too busy standing around visiting to get in the way, and the store wasn't too busy. Although I think the stores that have gone though the reset are basically full of junk (they took out the fabric department, for pity sake - and the shotguns and rifles), we managed to find all we needed, paid too much for it all, and I enjoyed having Hubby there to hoist the bags of pet food and boxes of cat litter.

Update on the dance studio/office space: when I looked up the ad to call on Monday, the price had been upped $200/month and the deposit had been doubled. So much for that great idea.

Sounds like you have a pleasant day planned. We have 2 Wal-Mart Supercenters here. They're remodeling one, we are avoiding it until they're through. So, I guess getting rid of the fabric is a permanent thing, I was hoping it was just temporary.

I was told that not all stores are losing their fabric departments, just the ones that didn't do well. Sapulpa lost theirs, Okmulgee still has fabric. Surely one of your stores will keep fabric, unless you have something like JoAnn's or Hancocks?

We have a Hobby Lobby and a JoAnn's. Hancock's went out of business. The other Walmart still has fabric but then it hasn't been remodeled yet. Hobby Lobby is usually my first choice.
