What a Surprise

I have a really sweet hubby who would do just about anything for me. I test those limits, sometimes. I think I found the limit. Cats.

The cats terrorize the Porkie Yorkie to the point that he's relieving himself in areas other than the one designated for such deeds. This has Hub in a snit. He's the dog-person in the family, and he doesn't like the Pooty being stressed.

On top of that, the kittens have found a way to get in side the couch. They crawl into the back and roll around, scratch, and bump. I find little pieces of fiberfill fluff laying on the floor. Not a good thing.

The drapes have claw holes in them

The sheers are snagged, torn, and forever ruined.

This is just a day in the life of a cat lover raising a houseful of kittens. This is a travesty to the dog lover.

Yesterday we had a couple of errands to do in town, and we stopped in Petco to pick up some cat food and a clicker for the dog. Hub started eyeballing the cat furniture. He pointed one out: "Do you think they'd like that one?" I thought it was a rhetorical question. Sure, but they'd like this other one better because it has caves. They like to crawl inside things. He studied all the towers and castles for a while, pointed to the one with hidey-holes, said "This one?" and carried it to the checkout.

Those suckers are pricey, and he didn't bat an eye. He calls it self-preservation. I think he likes the cats just a little, he just refuses to admit it.

Men.

He won big brownie points yesterday.

You do have a sweet hubby. Mine would kick me and the cats out. LOL!

You have really pretty kitties.

He has his moments. This comes after the... uh... temper fit he had over the weekend about the cats. Maybe he was feeling a little guilty.

The kitty furniture looks like it would be a lot of fun for them. Maybe, just maybe they'll give your furniture a break. Then again, maybe not.

I cleared the mantle and top shelves of the bookcases on either side of the fireplace... they get on the mantle, in the top shelves, and then climb on top of the book cases. Of course, I have pictures; haven't downloaded them yet.

Hubby doesn't like the ideal of them climbing all over the place. They'll just have to do it when Hub isn't in the room. ;)
