Sissy Kitty got her turn at the vet today. All the older cats have now had their turns. I would loved for Sissy to have had a litter - I think she would have made gorgeous kittens. But, much as I love cats, we've just had too many come through our lives this summer. It was time to put a stop to it.
In a couple of weeks, after Sissy is healed, she's going to live with #1 Son. Sissy is the sweetest, softest, most cuddly snuggly cat I've ever owned. It'll be tough letting her go, but DS will take great care of her. I also think she'll do well with #1 Grandson.
We still have the issue of the feral cats. I got in touch with PAWS and was told that they could do three of the six ferals in another month (there could be litters by then!) and they had nowhere to place them. I then contacted another place that said they had someone looking for barn cats. Could be the answer we're looking for. Cross your fingers!
When the next batch of kitties is ready to have their vet visits, Doc said if I bring 'em in all at once, he'll do the spay/neuter and throw in the vaccinations for free. Pretty darned good deal to me!
I finished another Morsbag. Total - 2! I've had some interesting looks/comments at the grocery store when I lay my bag on the conveyor.
"What's this?"
"Do we sell this here"?
"Did you make this from a pillowcase?"
"Which items exactly do you want to go in the cloth bag?"
No one has refused, but they do say some odd things.
But my plastic bag comsumption rate is reduced. It annoys me, however, when I see the way the items are bagged that won't go in the Morsbag. Example, one bottle of conditioner in a plastic bag. One bag of croutons in a plastic bag... need I go on? Reasor's is the absolute worst. At least Wal Mart crams as much into their bags that there's fear the bag will erupt.
It's late and I'm trying hard to keep from nodding off. I'm giving up for the night.

Sissy Kitty does look very soft and cuddly. The comments about the bag are funny. Especially the "do we sell this here?" They don't know? People just aren't used to the idea of a reusable grocery bag.
Yeah, I thought "do we sell this here?" was pretty funny. Well, in her defense, it's a big store and she was a checker. One gal actually looked put out that she had to put my groceries in the cloth bag. She kinda crammed my bread down with the bananas and the bread got a little mushed. Oh, well. Tasted the same! ;)
