The Snow is Sweeping Down the Plain

I think winter is here. My office (on the north wall) is cold. This gorgeous window just doesn't stop the 30-40 mph winds. Days like this make me wish I still worked from home!

We managed to make the drive in without any issues. After all, it's only five blocks. We're currently under a blizzard warning (isn't that a hoot!) and it's snowing steadily, although I think most of it is blowing into the next county.

We have (had) plans to visit family tomorrow and Saturday, and this included a few hundred miles of highway driving. I'm not sure we'll be doing that now.

That's all fine. All my days off involve going somewhere, seeing someone, moving more things... I haven't even been in my sewing room in weeks, aside from opening the door and pitching in something I've unpacked.

We were planning to go to my mom's house tonight but that has been cancelled until Saturday. This is the first serious snow we've had in a long, long time.

We're on our third day of rain here. I've been wondering how come the rain hasn't melted the snow that had barely accumulated from previous snow storms, but it gives me a headache for the pondering. Sigh...Hope you get to stay in and just simply enjoy your hubby and your daughter today. Hoping your son and his wife and family are also having a great holiday.

Kathy, I think you were supposed to get more snow than we did. Enjoy! It's such a rare event in Oklahoma.

Sherry, we are staying in today, probably plugged in to the tube and yelling at the cats!
