Play Ball!

Tulsa Drillers' season opener home game was last night. We bought season tickets this year, and, wow, did we luck out. I took that photo from my seat. Nice.

They lost. Actually, they got skunked. Creamed. Smeared. It wasn't pretty.

Mrs. Oklahoma sang the National Anthem. I think that was singing. It was, well, hmmm, painful. We still can't figure out what "rocket's rod glore" means. I'll give her one kudo - she hit the high note, and at 400 decibels, to boot.

The weather report said it was gong to be raining tonight, so we didn't make plans to go to tonight's game. The rain moved out around 5, the wind died down, and it's a beautiful, although cool, evening. Oh, well. Tomorrow night is fireworks night. We'll go then, providing the weather holds.

La and I have had fun playing with our phones. She and I now have LG Banter phones. I have mobile internet browsing which is pretty cool, particularly when you're sitting in the doctor's office for 2 hours waiting for your 8 minute appointment. I had to subscribe for three months at an additional $20, but I get a $20 rebate for each of the three phone lines that were updated (so why bother?), and then qualify for a $50 rebate on each phone. I guess the intent is to get you hooked and then you don't unsubscribe. Well, ya, that could work! I got MIL a new phone that has big numbers, big display, and it's wine colored which doesn't reflect light like the silver colored phones. She's really pleased with how easy it is to see the display and key pad.

Useful trivia here: Rules of a Gunfight.

I set up a Twitter user. Don't quite know why. Twitter seems just a little...... stupid.

Oh do I love baseball! Your seats are awesome too! I told my daughter (who is bidding on ebay for a Sox v. Mariners game at the end of the month) that I'd go with her if Justin didn't want to go. I love baseball!

Wow those are awesome seats. I can, sort of, understand baseball, can't understand football. I like the rules of a gunfight. I'd probably end up shooting myself in the foot though. I've never owned a gun, DH thought about getting one but never has. My brother has several.
