I Packed A Box

Yep! Got one packed today! We're just moving right along!

I've mentioned a house in previous posts that the boss wants to sell. It's occupied, and those folks get first chance at purchasing the house. Word came down that they don't want to move, but can't afford to buy. Don't know exactly what that means, if they'll get the boot, or if they'll get to stay and continue to rent. I only have one box packed, so I guess there's no rush.

I wish I had taken a picture to post, but forgot.... we finally got a dipsey dumpster, thanks to MIL. She camped at the end of the drive, hailed the trash truck when it drove by, then directed them to our house to make arrangements for a dumpster. Yay! This will make the moving clean-out much easier.

Aren't you glad I didn't have a dumpster photo?

I contacted Paws of Tulsa about the pups and never heard a word from them. For all the ballyhooing these people do about being kind to pets, they're sure not very responsive when someone needs help. All talk and no walk.

I ended up putting the pups on craigslist this evening. I also listed Duckie, my baby torti kitty. I'll have hard time parting with her. She snuggles nicely, however, we've decided it would be easier on the younger cats to be adopted, and the older cats will only have to change houses, the people and stuff in the houses will stay the same.

Of course, if they don't stay out of the kitchen cabinets, there may be no cats at all!

I came across something rather troublesome this evening. Someone took a photo of a family member from one of my albums on a private community and "emailed it all over town" without asking permission. It just kinda went all over me that someone would do that.

Ohhhhhhhh...Look at your kitty! She is so very pretty! My daughter put a dog she used to have up for adoption on FreeCycle and got some grief from a couple of people about that. She did not want to take the dog to the pound and he just wouldn't stay in her fenced yard no matter what she did. Her park was threatening to oust them if the dog got out one more time. He was, thankfully, adopted quite readily and I thought it was a fabulous idea. So much better than taking him to the pound. Much as we love them, sometimes they just don't fit in the home, do they? And yippee! I am so proud of you for getting that box packed! One down...

As to the personal photo? I believe that is against most private community rules and I would definitely mention it to a moderator. Good luck!

That kitty is so pretty. I hope you find good homes for all the animals that you want to part with. That's terrible about the photo, is there something that you can do about it?

I made the album private. After that, I haven't decided.
