Nazi Homeschool Legislation

This person, Oklahoma State Senator Jim Wilson (Democrat, uh-huh, Tahlequah), believes homeschooled children should not be allowed in public unattended during school hours. Currently, police cannot stop and detain homeschooled children as they can public school truants. Furor Wilson wants to change that. If SB308 is passed, then Little Johnnie can't leave his house without the escort of a parent until after 3PM, regardless of the time he finished his studies. So, if Johnnie is ambitious and has all his classes and homework finished by 11 AM, he has to sit in his house for four hours unless his Mommie can go outside with him to play.

This person, Oklahoma State Senator Mary Easley (another Democrat, Tulsa), thinks I should have to report Alatariel's educational achievements to the local public school twice per year. She thinks I should inform the local school when I start homeschooling, within ten days, no less. As if the public schools give a flying fart. Ms. Easley thinks this does not violate the Oklahoma Constitution which says I have the right to provide an alternate education for my child. Of course, Easley is retired from the Free Public Education System. It's no wonder she resents homeschoolers.
