I got a phone call this morning from the dollar store..... the voice on the other end of the phone said, "Did you know that you're on the schedule for tomorrow?" Uh, no, I didn't even know I was hired! OK, scratch all the plans I'd already made.
I got a phone call at noon from the dollar store.... the voice on the other end of the phone said, "I just got a message from corporate that your application didn't get sent in, so you can't go to work until we get it in." OK, I'll remake all those plans I just scratched.
Wednesday morning, FedEx pulled up in front of the house and delivered the new computer. Wednesday afternoon the phone rang.... the voice on the other end of the phone said, "Hello, Mrs. (xxx), this is So&So with Dell calling to tell you that your computer has been shipped and should be delivered tomorrow."
The voice on the other end of the phone needs to get it together!
Hubby is officially relinquishing bill paying and I'm taking over. I'm trying to come up with a good way to set up the home, farm, home office, and schedule c so that it'll work but not be a royal PITA to keep up. So far, I'm not doing too well. Keep your fingers crossed.
Down the road where we turn onto the highway from the country road, there's a lovely spot of pasture that's been unchanged for more than 40 years. When I was little, we'd drive to Tulsa for Christmas or school shopping, and this corner was a landmark that let me know that Tulsa wasn't far down the road. Many of the sights along the drive from my hometown to Tulsa have been torn down, developed, or destroyed. I'm sure it won't be long before this particular corner is divided into parcels and sold to the highest bidder. This will be a sad day. It's interesting to think that we were driving by my future hubby who was just a few miles down the road.

I think I might dread the phone ringing if I was you. What a mess!
Yes, it is sad that open places are developed so ruthlessly.
You have been getting some interesting phone calls. You'd think they would confirm that you still want to work there before they put you on the schedule. I love that picture. The main reason I don't want to go back to the place I grew up (Arizona) is because so many major changes have taken place.
