Today and tomorrow, Ala and I will be baking cookies for the Irish American Club's annual dinner tomorrow night. Ala is the resident cookie baker, but has never ventured past chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies. Tomorrow, she's being introduced to the cookie press!
Sunday afternoon we'll be driving to McAlester to pick up an exercise bike. It's primarily for Ala to have non-leg-stressing cardio exercise, but her fat Mama (that be me) will hoist her flabby fanny onto it's mostly uncomfortable-looking seat and clock some miles during The Young and the Restless (my one television addiction).
I enjoyed doing the Thankful Thursday post. It's good to pause and reflect on all that is good in my life. So much time is wasted on moaning and complaining. A weekly boost of positive energy will be a good thing!
Cookie pictures may be forthcoming....

Your plates are beautiful! Those cookies look awfully good too :) Do you mind sharing the pattern of china? I'd love to search out a teacup in the pattern :) Have a wonderful day *~*
Those cookies look good. We have an exercise bike too. The first time I got on it I only lasted a couple of minutes. I've worked up to a little over 5 minutes now. Starting slow and building up.
The onion really makes it, doesn't it? :)
Thank you, Anonymous - they are Stoney Hill "Garden Filigree." My sister-in-law gave the set to me for Christmas one year. "A woman can never have too many dishes," she said.
OK, Schnauzermom, starting tomorrow, I'm challenging you to an exercise bike race. If I work hard, I should be up to 5 minutes about June 21st.
You're on!
