A Beautiful Day for a Bubble Bath

Driving down 71st at Riverside today, Alatariel and I saw something that looked like large white plastic bags flitting along in the wind. On second glance, they weren't plastic bags, but clouds of bubbles! Some ingenious citizen had dropped soapy stuff in the Objay Duh Art in Riverside Park.
We hooked a U-ee and parked so we could enjoy the unusual sight.

The bubbles had a lovely apple scent.

Oh my!

While I don't condone vandalism, this is pretty funny.

Oooo I love the bubbles. I wonder how they're gonna clean that up.

I haven't seen anyone do this since I was in high school. Remember those Action laundry detergent packets? It was so convenient to fill your pockets with those and then drop them into a fountain unnoticed. By the time they dissolved and started foaming, you would be long gone.

Of course, I never did such a thing.
