Alatariel's XBFF has resurfaced.
The girl called this afternoon and left a message asking Ala to call her. Ala wanted to ignore it, but Mean Old Mom made her return the call and deal with the child. It didn't take a full minute before XBFFwas screaming into the phone (I could hear this across the room). Ala hung up on her.
Shortly afterwards, Ala received an email from X full of profanities, telling Ala to be responsible and apologize for something Ala didn't do, and the final line: "You'd better write back. I mean it! grrrr"
Ala showed this email to her father. Fire and brimstone began to fall from the heavens as the earth split to allow billowing clouds of smoke and flame to spew forth.
In other words, Dad was pissed. It's not good to make Dad mad.

That girl is very disturbed. I don't blame dad for being angry. I hope something can be done about her.
We've known she has issues for some time, now. Unfortunately, we didn't find out until it was too late. Phone numbers and emails had been exchanged.
I had Ala forward the harassing email to the girl's mother as well as the president of the dance school's parent organization. I also told the dance teacher that the girl had been harassing Ala and needed to be kept away whenever possible.
So far, it's been quiet today. However, I left the girl's mother a message to call me, and I haven't heard from her. I don't know if the girl intercepted the message. I intend to call the mom at her work tomorrow if I don't hear from her tonight.
Ick!
I'm sorry you guys are going through this. It sounds like her folks need to shorten the reins and get her some help.
Funny you should say that. I think she's been shrunk already. A lot of the blame-passing things she writes to Ala sounds like it's fresh from the couch.
Mom's answer is to pray for her. Not that I'm discounting the power of prayer, but she's sitting around wringing her hands and waiting for God to do her work. IMHO, a good old-fashioned butt-warming would work wonders.
