Just when the sun, moon and planets are lining up and things seem streamlined (but still chaotic), someone throws a wrench in the works.
I got a call about a job today. It's an administrative/bookkeeping job in a CPA's office downtown. It would be a lateral move in pay but it would be a great big foot in the door. Heck, for zero experience, a lateral move in pay is way cool. This is why I've been drudging through one accounting class a semester for I-don't-know-how-long.
The job is downtown Tulsa. This would mean no move.
Hubby and I talked about it. He said go ahead and interview. Worst case, we live like we did last summer; me here with Ala, he on the other side of the state. Good thing we trust each other.
On the dance front: I took Ala to the sports medicine specialist who was concerned she had stress fractures as she's still having pain issues. She had a bone scan yesterday which showed nothing out of the norm. The final word: shin splints. She has nifty cool $45 arch supports in her shoes and a set of exercises to strengthen her ankles and calves. Two more weeks out of dance, at least.
Yesterday was my little brother's 40th birthday. It's our thing for me to call him "Little Brother" as he's 6'6" tall, and he calls me Big Sister. He's a cutie, that kid brother of mine.

Wow your brother is a cutie! The job does sound like a good thing. Of course being separated for such a long time is a bummer too.
Well heck!
Sometimes you just have to grit your teeth and do things that don't make you too happy.
I didn't think you were moving too soon so maybe this could get you experience and then when you were ready to move you'd be that much further ahead. Did that make sense?
All is not lost... I may not get the job, anyway.
I called the CPA this afternoon and set up an interview for Thursday next week. That'll give me time to find something to wear and lost 120 pounds.
If it works out, we'll stay for a while longer. If it doesn't, then nothing's changed.
BTW, Jo, are you staying around after graduation?
SM, I love hugging my brother. I'm 5'10", and I don't hug to many people who are head-&-shoulder taller than I am! Nice thing about him is that he hugs back, too!
Annie, I don't plan on going anywhere any time soon. DH grumbles occasionally about wanting to leave, but can't name a place he would rather be. I just remind him how close the fishing and hunting are and he settles down.
That's good. Worst case, I'd work for the guy a coupl'a years and then move on. I think Hubby will keep his current job forever, or until The Boss gets tired of it and sells it all. We planned for me to eventually move into accounting, anyway, so one of us would have a job when the inevitable happens.
