I miss my cat!
I took Sissy to #1Son's house yesterday. #1Grandson was there, and he was wired for sound. And boy, did he ever make sound. I couldn't talk to anyone for all the chatter. The tv was on, the apartment was cluttered and piled everywhere. #1GS wanted to hold the kitty; can I hold the kitty? can I hold the kitty? can I hold the kitty? AND they did NOT buy and FOOD for the cat! Some lame-o excuse about "we wanted to find out what she ate first." Hello? I told them two weeks ago, and they both have cell phones and both have my phone number. This was making me feel really uneasy. Really!
Fortunately, I took food, so she won't starve until they get around to buying a bag for her. I hope.
Well, I have flippin' cried over this stupid cat. I'm turning into one of those "my cats are my kids" people. I cried on the drive home, I cried when I went to bed last night, I cried this evening when I was cuddling Chester Copperpot. I have issues. sigh.
On to other adventures.
There's been a house on the market out West that I've been watching for a while. It's sooooo kyewt! Just what I'd love to have. Seems reasonably priced, but hasn't sold in several months. Alatariel and I decided to take a road trip after we left #1's house. We wanted to see what was up.
So we tooled out to find this house. Yep, it's cute, all right. Two story darling place, a couple of out buildings, 4 acres fenced, sits right next to a verrrrry large metal building, farm equipment, another large metal building, lots of large pieces of metal scrap items, some junk cars..... So much for my dream home.
Bummer.
We decided it wouldn't have worked, anyway. The farther West we go, the longer it's going to take to get to Edmond or Kingfisher for dance. We were looking at an additional half hour, maybe more.
Sure wanted to stop and see Aunt Jo, but it was dark-thirty and we had been driving several hours, still had several hours driving ahead of us, and I was already getting tired-butt syndrome. Aunt Jo was spared the agony of unexpected visitors. This time, anyway. ;)
Today, Alatariel and I tackled The Great Room. We pushed furniture around so that she will have room to practice dance. Tomorrow I take her to a sports medicine doc to find out if she's ready to dance again, and what she needs to do to keep from getting shin splints again. I have an idea we'll be looking at orthotics for her ghillies.
This evening we watched "Charlotte Gray". It was pretty good.
No sewing this weekend. Phooey.

I would have let you in anyway.:)
My house is a disaster, but we're sisters when it comes to housekeeping anyway.
Too bad the house is too far.
