My vb projects all worked correctly this evening when I demo'd them for my grade. Scored 120 points. Yay.
I enjoy the class, but it's kind of a no brainer. I'm not saying I know it all - I don't - that's why I'm taking the class. But he does the assignments on the overhead and all I have to do is type what he types. He doesn't really explain what's going on. I'm learning some things, but probably not as much as I need to. That's the trouble with adjunct professors.
The Mod Pod is working now. I entered Aunt Jo's 4 bags. I'm still preparing for takeoff.
Tomorrow we're making a trip to the office to pick up a computer, then turning around and coming right back home. It'll be a drag.... we probably won't get away from here until 3pm or later. Wonder if I can talk Hubby in to stopping at the Serrapio's in El Reno that's so good. Name escapes me right now. Ala might go. That'll be a cozy 6 hour ride in the pickup.
Saturday Hub is setting up the computer at a hosting place in Tulsa. I'm planning on garage sale-ing Saturday morning and maybe meeting Cinnamongirl for lunch. The little burg up the road is having a community-wide garage sale. I'm hoping for lots of stuff within walking distance of each other.
Maybe.. just MAYBE... I can break out the sewing machine Saturday afternoon.
One of the ladies in our Red Hat group died this week. The family asked that all the Red Hatters come to the funeral in full regalia. How cool. The funeral is early in the afternoon, so (1) I probably won't be back by then, and (2) I don't do funerals.
On the funeral note, my mother has requested that, when she dies, we drop her in a box and put her in the ground without all the pomp and fanfare. Save the money, she says. Fine by me. My mother-in-law, on the other hand, is looking forward to her funeral. She's told me how she wants to be laid out in the coffin, etc, etc, etc. Ya, right.
Do you go to hell for not spending $5000 that you don't have on a funeral for someone who won't know whether they're getting one or not?

I agree with you. It's outrageous the amount of money that people spend on funerals. If you care about someone let them know while they're alive and can appreciate it.
I SO agree! If they can't come see me alive, they ain't gonna stare at me dead.
After my FIL died and we watched the funeral home mongers take advantage of my MIL, we started looking around.... it's amazing what you can find out on the internet. For instance, you can order a casket online for a fraction of the price that it costs at the funeral home, it will be delivered in 24 hours, and the funeral home is required to accept it by law!
I found the extortion by morticians so disgusting that, for a while, I considered be a funeral planner so I could help keep people from getting taken. But that, like so many other great ideas I have, never got off the ground. :(
