Animal Crackers

Baby Kitty, Bear, Pearl, and Gracie Lou Freebush now live in the new town. Hershey and Cocoa went to heaven (I bawled all afternoon, even though the danged cats were wild and spent their days under the couch), Vader went out the back door because we couldn't get him in a carrier, and Hubby's arms look something like ground sirloin from cat wrestling. Dutch, the geriatric lab with cancer and failing hind legs, also went to heaven. Even though Dutch wasn't long for this world, it was hard watching my sweet hubby hugging the dog and dropping tears on the critter's head.

Despite it all, I think I still have around 13 cats. They're like tribbles, I think! Aunt Jo loaned me a couple of pet carriers, I bought another to add to the one I have, so I think a couple of round trips this weekend will take care of it.

The cats are pretty freaked out by everything that's been going on. I hope they recover. Curly has been in hiding since Monday.

This week has been a blur of asphalt, cardboard, and fast food restaurants. I haven't seen Hubby except for an hour or two each day as we're alternating days at each house because of all the blasted animals! I think my days as Cat Savior of the World are numbered.

I cannot even begin to imagine how hard this was on you. Makes me so sad to read of this...Aunt Jo losing her Tucker...Just makes my head hurt and stomach clench. Hugs to you, Annie.

I think yesterday wasn't a good day to be a pet owner.

I hope you get all those kitties moved without too much trouble.

Hugs.

I'm sorry that you had to lose some of your animals. That's hard to do. I hope the others settle in soon.
