This is where we left off last Sunday..... equivalent of one wall to paint and lots of spots to fill in.
Not to mention the mess in the bathroom.....
Saturday morning, it's back to the Granma House for round 3. Hubby bought a scaffold so he didn't have to make so many trips up and down the ladder. We also invested in a very large canvas drop cloth, because NOW we're going to paint the ceiling!!!! Hooray!!!! At least it isn't red and won't need umpteen coats of primer. One coat of white should do it.
I'm still undecided about wall color. If we eventually have dark trim around the windows and doors, I don't know that I want a dark wall to go with it. I need to make a decision. Time's running out.
While we were there last weekend, Hubby went out to explore the detached garage. The previous residents still had belongings there so it's been locked until now. It's nice; concrete floor, door opener (electricity to the garage!), big enough for one car with a work space at the end. Cabinets and shelves have been installed (the cabinets look like they might have come frmo the house's original kitchen). Once we figure out how to install the window unit AC that we have instorage, Hubby will have his own place to do his reloading. Oh, there's also an old fridge in the garage. We'll pull that out and put the upright freezer in its place. That creates more room in the mud room for me to pile junk. Yay!!!!
My days are filled with boxes and back aches. I got a steroid shot today to try to contain the pain. Doc says I should just get my back fixed. Not this week. Maybe later.
Can't wait to move so I can go swimming. I'm tired of being tired.

Ooh, with dark trim, that lighter green color would look fabulous! Of course, I love any green anyway. I am so sorry you are having to do so much work in the house though. I think it'll be so lovely when you are done! I'm excited for all of you. It sounds like such a nice home and a great move for your family. Do get that rest in there! None of us are getting any younger!!
You're working on the 4th of July? How sad, I hope you take some time off to have some fun too. I bet you'll be glad when you're all moved in. Hope your back feels better soon.
Just noticed the pink bathroom.
We had a pink bathroom in our first house...does it have a pink toilet too? Oh, the memories.
Depends on the light - sometimes it's pink, sometimes it's tan. Hubby has plans to knock out the wall and extend the bathroom into the driveway. Uh-huh.
