Going Brown

I'm not generally a "brown" person (unless I'm trying to grow green things) but the brown coffee coordinates caught my eye. I'm all about a good cup of piping hot coffee laced with a healthy dose of Swiss Miss. I celebrate the moments of my life at least once - usually more - a day.

The little art-deco tribal print wasn't part of the "set" but I liked the color and interest it adds to the two coordinates. This will make a lovely quilt someday.

The following photo is the stash from the remnant table at Hancock's. Now, in my view, it follows. After it's published, who knows where the photo will show up?

Quilt Class Woes

I called Quilt Sampler yesterday to transfer the fee for my canceled class to the Quilting 101 class for my daughter. Sad news - they don't think Q101 will make, either. Bah! Patti said that they blame it on the weather - no one wants to come sit in a quilt class when the weather is starting to get pretty. Well, I guess I can understand that. Maybe I can recruit enough people that the class will make. Anyone want to go to a beginner quilt class in Tulsa?

There's a log cabin class that Ala can take, but it's only a one day class. She'll learn how to make the block, but that's it. The other class goes through the complete quilt.

I got up this morning to find half a dozen cats patiently waiting outside the bedroom door for Mom to emerge. After that, the stillness was forever lost. The morning has been one kitty acrobatic trick after another. This is all to my delight - I find them quite entertaining. Hub, on the other hand, tolerates the cats because his girls love them so much. Their catrobatics put him in a mood, unfortunately. That's where he is now. In a mood.

Men. Can't live with 'em. Get cold at night without 'em.

That material is gorgeous! I'm sorry that the quilt class isn't going to happen. Will they offer it again in the future?

Thanks, SM.

There's hope for a class in May. I'll have to see how many they need and see if I can stir up some participants. I know SO many people.... (ha!)
