Where have I been all week? Suddenly it's Friday night and I'm not sure where the time went.
My payroll class started this week. Since it's the internet class, there's no 90 minute r.t. commute to class. This could be nice, so long as I don't procrastinate and try to complete the entire semester during the last week of April.
I ordered my book from Amazon and it was delivered today. Not to my house, however. Fighting off waves of panic, I called DHL to find out where my book was delivered. Being a country dweller, deliveries are occasionally dropped off at neighbors' houses - some of which are vacant. Oddly, they took it to the post office. Whew. At least I don't have to go a-trespassing on a scavenger hunt.
The health care accounting class was canceled. I got a call from the instructor last Friday who said he was trying to combine that class with another class which also wasn't going to make due to low enrollment. I told him I was flexible and would attend whatever class I needed to. Mine is closed, but I don't know what the replacement class is. Fine. Didn't need another class this semester.
We had a parent organization meeting after Alatariel's dance class Wednesday. They have decided to have "performance" dresses in addition to the official school dresses. School dresses are the formal Irish dance dress with stiff kick pleats, emblems, and are made from black velvet. The performance dresses are going to be jewel-tone confetti sequin Riverdance-style dresses. What fun that's gonna be to sew!!!
Today I had a 3 month follow-up with the bossy doctor lady. She was glad that I'd lost 15 pounds, that my BP was down w/o meddies, and she had blood work done to see if my cholesterol has improved. She didn't rag on me about anything, although she promised me that, if my cholesterol wasn't down enough, she'd lecture me again. That's fine.
After the doc, Ala and I went on a Confetti Sequin Mission. Although the fabric was reported to be available all over town, finding a bolt of jewel-tone color that had more than a yard or two was quite a challenge. Ala had signed up for green, but that was no where to be found. We finally got approval to switch to red (they want the colors evenly divided). I'm now the proud owner of 5 yards of eye-burning red fabric. Thanks goodness for 40%-off coupons!
I still have to get patterns, notions, lining fabric, and enough nerve to cut into $7/yard fabric.
I'm fixin' to get ready to think about making a quilt. Maybe tomorrow I'll think about it more. I'm such a coward. I have a closet full of lovely fabric that would make wonderful quilts and baby blankets, and I won't touch them. They're too pretty to mess up. Ugh.
I'm cutting the fabric tomorrow! That's final!

I don't blame you for not wanting to cut that material. Once the cut is made there's no going back. Good luck!
Glad that you're doing well physically!
Thanks!
I'm determined to cut tonight, even if it's just a snip.
