I've got to hit the hay soon, but wanted to write a bit before ending the day.
Today I had a chipped tooth filled, only to find out there was a spot on the adjacent tooth that needed to be fixed, too. Deductible & 20% came to $116, all for 15 minutes of the dentist's time.
MIL took a spill at church yesterday. She walked right off a step (she was walking while talking to someone behind her, not watching where she was going) and tumbled pretty much onto the side of her face. Her right eye is black from the middle of her forehead to underneath her cheekbone, and puffed like a baseball. Nothing is broken, but she looks a sight!
I finally ordered Microsoft Office Standard edition from costcaptain.com. They had an academic package for $129. TCC wanted $119 just for Excel (what I need for class).
I have no books to read. I guess I'm doomed to do homework until the next Elm Creek book comes in. I ditched Leadville Lady. Just not much for romances. The traditional romance jargon ("her moist lips parted slowly"- yetch!) just leaves me hurling. I also gave up on Rhett Butler's People. It was just too much of a chore to stick with it. The author has a very odd writing style. It's didn't trip my trigger.
OK - got everything off my chest. Hugs to you, Aunt Jo, and prayers for your hubby!
