Does it work?

Last month I bought a Strivectin starter kit from QVC. The fella making the pitch said to take a photo of your face before using the product, then take a photo a month later. You'll see dramatic results.

I took the photo on October 11. Today, November 10, I took another photo. If anything, my face is more red, and still as wrinkled. Pfffft.

A few years back I used a similar product called Strixaderm. Stinks to high heaven, but I liked it better. I sold it in the vitamin store, and I could see improvement in the faces of the ladies who bought & used it. Even my DM used it, and her skin improved, particularly around the eyes.

I'll finish up my Strivectin and see if anything happens. Maybe I'll get some more Strixaderm.

This was in my mailbox last week.....I'm so impressed that the post office could deliver it with those black blotches on it. :P

The package came from Autumn Leaves, who latched on to my comment that I would love to have a calorimetry. She picked out some awesome yarn that goes beautifully with my casual jacket (as if I had a dressy jacket!), and I'm just pleased as punch to finally have this cool head gear that won't smash my buns. OK, guys, that's Hair-Do Buns, not those Other Buns.
Sherry also made a matching scarf, which I love! My scarf that I've worn for, oh, 15 years or more is really long and hangs out from under this jacket. My new one is just the right length to tuck inside without dangling ends. Very smart thinker, that Sherry!

Ala has already threatened to take it away from me. I'll be guarding my new bonnet and scarf very closely.

I'm off to bed. Later!

Wow, darlin'! The colors came out beautifully (I was worried as it is easier to match when you have the actual article with you) and you've photographed it well! I am so glad to know that you really like them. By the way, I really like your coat/jacket too! I hope that the powers that be can see that infernal woman for what she truly is! Wishing you good luck and maybe she'll mellow over the holidays??? One can only hope!

Wow those are great gifts, very pretty! I hope Mata Hari can't do any damage to you. It's possible that everyone knows what a jerk she is.

By the way, my friend, if Laurel wants a calorimetry, I would be happy to do one for her as well. I probably will not do a scarf with it unless she really wants one though. Let me know colors! After all, she gave up her ticket too!

I love that jacket. I've had it for 15 years and it's held up very well. The cats chewed the ties in the collar, and the lining needs a bit of maintenance, but for a $20 K-mart purchase, I'm quite pleased with it.

Not long after I bought the jacket, I saw the identical item in a department store for $50. I was really pleased with it after that!

I've decided that next time that person targets me, I'm going to tell her to stick it in in her ear... or some other rhyming orfice.

Sticking things in orifices! That can be dangerous!!! LOL Thanks too for the comment. I will get the yarn today for Laurel and I shall get started straight away. It may take a week or two (I'm a tad slow on knitting because I knit rather tightly), but I am excited to get to try to pick out the perfect yarn!
