The fair is this weekend! I've only been once a couple of years ago, and it rained all day, was miserably soggy and not much fun. But I did get to meet Aunt Jo that weekend, and that was worth slogging around in wet grass.
We missed the quilt exhibits that time as they'd closed up and moved out to make room for the cake auction (quite an event, I understand!). I'm looking forward to seeing them this year. It could inspire me to get my sewing room unpacked and in order. Not.
Kitty is doing well today after almost losing her last night. Don't know what was up, but she appeared to be close to her last breath. I was expecting to find her expired this morning, but she was sitting in her bathroom cubby, meowed at me, came to see me, and purred. Quite a happy greeting considering she could barely stand last night. I called Feline Specialties in Tulsa and asked what I should do for her. They recommended feeding her turkey or chicken baby food with water mixed in to make it "lap-able." She's eaten more baby food today than she'd eaten cat food in the last two days. Yay! She's such a sweetie that I'd certainly hate to lose her.
I've spent most of this week working on the Paperless Project which entails scanning paper documents and saving them on the computer. Not particularly exciting, but it gives me time to blog a bit while things are scanning.

Oh I do love fairs! Such fun. I always enjoy the quilts and the art. Never say never to the sewing room. Inspiration just might be found at the fair. Hoping your scanner has an automatic feed at work. (Mine at home doesn't and it is a pain in the proverbial butt.) We got a super young kitten once and I automatically went to baby food meats (though I didn't water it down). Eventually mixed it with dry kitten food and then when she was old enough took away the baby food part. She thrived on it, truly. My daughter just found three baby kittens in her yard, one of them apparently younger than the other two (though all three are pretty young). She bought kitten formula or some such at the pet store and is mixing it with dry food (it looks like baby food in the dish). They all eat well from that too.
I haven't been to our county fair in a long time, need to check it out. I'm glad the kitty is doing better, she's had a rough time.
