Time Flies When Your Head Is In A Box

I've been busy packing, sorting, tossing, and waffling between garage sale or throw it away. Oh, yeah, let's not forget playing Farm Town on Facebook. I'm hooked.

Duckie came home after a week, starved to bones, and she cried for two days after I got her back. The lady who took her said Duck wouldn't come out from under the bed to eat or go to the litter box. For a week? Whatever happened over there, I doubt it was completely Duck's fault. While I was talking to the woman on the phone about Duck, she suddenly went psycho and started cussing the cat and yelling at me. What Ev Er. I met her at a pet store in Tulsa where she refused to speak to me. Call me cautious, but I was not unarmed. I don't trust people who freak out for no reason.

Duck is doing better, started eating the minute I got her home, and has settled down a bit over the past several days. This is why I hate giving away the cats. You just don't know what's happening at the other end.

On the other hand, I really don't want to take the mess of 17 cats to the new house!

La and I spent the weekend at Granma House trying to get the painting done. I have pictures on my phone but haven't paired the phone withe my laptop yet, so I can't download them. Maybe I'll get that done today or tomorrow. There are some surprising finds in that house!

We may be going back on Wednesday.

I got to spend some time visiting with Aunt Jo, and she's such a sweetheart! She even brought me a jar of fresh (still warm) peach jam. I finally had some this morning, and my taste buds thought they'd died and gone to heaven!

DD and I are catching up on DVR'd episodes of Y&R, then it's back to boxes and laundry. I need some clean clothes to wear to the ball game tonight. Drillers are tied for first place! Woot!

Poor kitty, I'm glad she made it home to you. I hate moving, packing stuff and trying to decide what to keep and what to part with. We usually end up having the garage sale after we move to the new house which is kind of silly. Why haul all that stuff and then turn around and sell it.

Oh no! Poor Duckie!! I hate to hear stories like that! Sounds like you barely have time to breathe so I'm glad you had a chance to meet wit Aunt Jo and are going to the Driller's game. Hope you had a great time!

I'm thinking I might move what I want, then have a moving sale for whatever is left here.

We didn't go to the game due to lack of interest in the heat.

Such sweet comments. I know I don't deserve them.

I'm glad you liked the jam. I'm planning on more and a few different kinds as time permits.
