Status Report

I won't be an accountant any time soon. I heard thru the grapevine (boss told Hubby) that there are other plans for me in the works. Seems they need someone to be something like the insurance claims coordinator, and that's going to be my job. It's not accounting, but it's not programming, either.

Disappointed? A little. Relieved? A lot. I don't know how I could have managed a job on the other side of the state that started in two weeks and simultaneously take care of everything here. If I had been offered the job, I was thinking it might be best to decline it because the timing is right. Guess God beat me to it, eh?

Week after next we're going over to look at a house and get the big scoop on what my new duties will be. I guess we'll also discuss the moving arrangements.

I resigned as Dance Mom Queen and also withdrew the dancing daughter from class. She'll go back in the fall when she's completed her reconditioning. That's assuming she ever starts her reconditioning. (yes, sweetie, I know you read this)

I'm looking forward to being in town again. Being a country dweller was fun for starters, but this area is moving toward suburbia... it's not safe to walk up and down the road any more for fear of being flattened by a gravel truck or an Andy Granatelli Wannabe.... not to mention the sheer enjoyment of watching roadkill decay day by day. Yummers!

So, today I got the Hub involved a bit. We rearranged the dining room so that I have an empty wall against which to stack boxes. Much better than having them sitting in corners in the living room. I had some stacked next to the entertainment center until I came in one day and found cats on top of the center. It was quite a vault, but they managed to do it. Dumb cats.

I haven't paid attention to NASCAR, but somehow the name "Andy Granatelli" rings my wa-a-a-y back bells...I mean from like when I was a kid (and I'm no spring chicken). Did you just date ourselves darlin'????? LOLOL Too bad your company couldn't use an accountant who works via VPN. I have the degree and experience but no jobs that I can find out here. Anyway, you are right. God has His plan for us.
